Too Good to be News, 2013
Computer, custom software, Internet

Too good to be news is an online poetry generator that grabs, parses and creates random poems based on realtime news feeds. It automatically gathers and combines current headlines from The New York Times and National Public Radio, with verses written by Merhi.

By decontextualizing the news from their original sources and mixing them with poetic sentences, the headlines become literary artifacts. Hence, the reading process turns into an amiable experience rather than a pragmatic and mundane perusal.
