Wizart, 1999
Computer, custom software, Internet

Wizart was a multilingual project started as a Bulletin Board System in 1994. It invited users to explore the extensive relationships between the web and poetry. Constituted by 23 projects, Wizart offered interactive Java applets, JavaScripts, Flash and Macromedia animations, Real Player movies, and animated Gifs. Each 'application' involved the presentation of verses, poems and instructions in a variety of languages: English, Spanish, French, Hebrew, Arabic, etc.

Wizart became a digital entity devoted to show the potential of New Media. It was the first net art project exhibited in a major museum in Venezuela.
